Nearly every home owner who wants to renovate experiences that point where you simply don't have the money to do the things you want. And sometimes, when the furnace, water heater and AC units all go out in the same year, you may not be left with any money at all. How do you still make progress?

This episode is all about projects that can be done regardless of what your budget is. Even if you have no money to spend, there's no need to sit and deal with a space that makes you cringe. Chris and Julia talk about projects they've seen done, as well as some they've done themselves, and how to make little improvements that can help you love your home now.

It's common for everyone to ask about paint colors, but much less frequent to ask about the sheen. But just for the effect you want in your space, choosing the right sheen can't be overlooked.

In this episode, Julia and Chris give great advice on how to decide which paint sheen will look best for the space you're painting. They discuss why you'd choose flat over satin (and vice versa) and what the role of primer is in the process.

In this episode, Julia and Chris talk about the things they’ve purchased online in their home, including all of their couches. They discuss how to plan and what things to know about items you buy online before hitting that “Purchase Now” button, as well as some tips for getting the best deal.

They also talk about projects they've been working on, including their downstairs basement and outdoor fireplace.
